First of all, thank you all SO much for your great entries into the 12 Gauge Microphones giveaway that we ran in January to kick off 2013! The response was amazing, and we got some really great replies, some of which had us cracking up. Here are a few of my favourites:
I intend to record myself doing One Direction covers with an Indian accent and a distorted to hell baritone guitar.
Well, this is straight A Badass! First of all this would go great with my zombie survival pack, not only could you blow a zombies brain out but you could record the whole thing in style (Talk about phantom power >.<)!! But seriously looks like a handy piece of equipment/audio-arsenal to have (sorry about all the puns). I think I would start by recording the $15 dollar Kapok guitar I purchased at the market the other day, Great tone for a 3/4 sized guitar not to mention the model number inside states it’s called the M6. Might even dedicate the song or recording to this website so you get a bit out of me winning .
chris kehleyI would use these as an awesome room mic, and nuke the ever living dog piss out of it for some crunchy mids.
NickIf I won the red 12, I would use it to mic my Remington 870 acoustic shotgun.
As much as I’d like to give a free mic to each and everyone of you…
… and I just don’t have the resources to do an Oprah and give everyone free stuff.
And so! Our winner who was blessed by the gods of chance, randomness and pure, dumb luck is…
Thank you once again to all of you who entered – I hope you’ll stick around and hang out with us on a regular basis, and I’ll try to do another giveaway in a few months’ time!
Also, if you’re in New Zealand, I’m planning to do a bulk order from Brad at 12 Gauge Mics, so if after hearing those demos you were interested in getting a 12 Gauge Microphone of your very own, contact me now and I’ll put you in for the bulk order, so we can save on shipping and perhaps a little more!
